Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative disorder of the nervous system that affects movement.

It is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer’s disease and it is estimated to affect about 1% of the population over the age of 60.

The cause of Parkinson’s disease is not fully understood, but it is believed to be a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
